Just another tequila sunrise

Who'd of thunk that they wouldn't have internet access at a resort in a third world country? (Thanks, Park-Air Travel, for telling me otherwise). Anyway, I now resume my vacation posts, one week ex post facto.

I'll things restarted with the New Age's version of the fortune cookie--the internet blog quiz. What biological molecule am I??? Starch.

Starch
You are starch. You are rigid, opinionated, hard-
willed and not too friendly about it. You keep
people out of places, or you keep them in, and
without you a lot of things would collapse.
hopefully you'll never have the authority to
burn people at the stake. Sir. Ma'am.

Which Biological Molecule Are You?

OK, while waiting for the BEACH PICTURES, I took your little test. It says that I'm glucose:

"You are glucose. People feed off of you. You are sweet, caring, and a source of energy for everyone around you. You can inspire others with your creativity and depth, and you can keep people alive when in times of famine. People love you...or at least the way you taste."

I think I'd rather be starch.

After careful consideration of each question...and a small period of elation after seeing Dave Matthews and Jack Johnson both mentioned on the same option that I could choose, I was discovered to be a...steroid.

"You are a steroid. You're a special kind of inter-nuclear hormone and have direct, immediate effects on the near future; you are pumped up, ready to go, and excite the people around you into action. You can also cause cancer."

The internet is amazing. How did it know I was so ripped that steriods would be my molecule??

I, too, could use a peek at those beach pictures. I am sure the view is stunning, and probably contains one or all of us holding some kind of drink.

Tina and I started walking again this morning. It better lead to some kind of cool vacation or I'm going to be really disappointed.

I'm water:

"You are water. You're not really organic; you're neither acidic nor basic, yet you're an acid and a base at the same time. You're strong willed and opinionated, but relaxed and ready to flow. So while you often seem worthless, without you, everything would just not work. People should definitely drink more of you every day."

I often seem worthless?

HaHa! I'm an enzyme!

"You are an enzyme. You are powerful, dark, variable, and can change many things at your whim...even when they're not supposed to be changed. Bad you. You can be dangerous or wonderful; it's your choice."

At least I don't cause cancer....

Okay, you asked for it! I am mRNA.

"You're brilliant, full of important, interesting information and you're a great friend to the people you care about. You may have sides to you that no one understands. But while you understand more than most people, you're only half-there most of the time."

I am guessing that the "full of important information" is due to the fact that I knew all about the bats living in Austin". Got lucky on that one!

BTW-What the Hell is mRNA?

mRNA is "messenger ribonucleic acid." Google it!

Ricky,

Did you know that already or did you have to google it? I was just about to google it, right after I fed the kids and husband, did the dishes, cleaned up after dinner, got the kids ready for Bible Class, got myself ready for Bible Class, etc, etc!
Gotta run~ (not literally, I haven't ran since the last time we played soccer!)

I'm Starch too. You can usually find me in beer, mexican food, rice, and pasta.

Andy, that's face down in Mexican food, rice and pasta, right?

Necia, of course I knew what mRNA was! (Ask Laura WHAT I know.)

And Busy Bee is my mother.

After you've been at the same job for enough time, you can do it in your sleep. Want a root canal?

Birds of a feather flock together.
Laura and I were both lipid.
No wonder we gel so well.

You are a lipid. You know whom you like and whom you hate, and you like hanging out with people who think like you do. People who disagree with you annoy you to no end. You either love Abercrombie and Fitch or you despise it, but there's no middle ground. You're polar.

I am water like Shannon, but really I think I am closer to a lipid like Tina and Laura! People who disagree with me annoy me!
